Herdade dos Grous - Moon Harvested Tinto 2014

Climate -  ‘Continental-mediterranean’, characterized by a low-rainfall, semi-arid growing season and high daytime temperatures. Good summer and pre-harvest thermal amplitude.

Soil characteristics - Magnesian sedimentary loam soils, ranging from sandy-loam to clayloam with marked horizons. Many areas comprise soils with laminar clay-schist-like characteristics. Whilst very low in organic matter, the acidic, or slightly acid soils have average fertility and a high water retention capacity.

Grape Varieties: Alicante Bouschet (100%)Relief and Row orientation Lightly undulating, predominantly WSW – ENE rows.

Irrigated as per stringently controlled requirements and in accordance with quality parameters. Cultural practices are strictly adapted to each variety and plot, with the aim of producing of the best quality fruit. Each plant is individually inspected to ensure that production does not exceed a specified limit per plant. At harvest time, the crop is carefully selected and transported in small 25Kg. trays to the winery.

WINEMAKING Process - The grapes are hand-picked in the cycle of greater influence by the moon in the sap transport. Grapes are hand-selected on a purpose-built selection table; Innoculation with selected yeasts; Prolonged fermentation and maceration in ‘lagares’ (traditional open fermenters); Aged for 12 months in new French oak barriques.

Alcohol 15,0 % Vol.; Volatile Acidity 0,50 g/l; Total Acidity 5,7 g/l; pH 3,70

Tasting Notes - Deep, concentrated ruby color; Complex aromas of matured fruit and subtle oak nuances. Full-flavoured, round, silky and mature tannins. Should be served at 14 a 16ºC; A perfect accompaniment to rich red meat dishes.

    Intr-un clasament am gasit un vin portughez care se afla printre cele mai bune 1% din toate vinurile din lume. Am comandat respectivul vin de pe site-ul PremiumDrinks si eu cred ca este intemeiat respectivul clasament. La acest pret este un vin superb (stiu altele care costa de 5 ori mai mult si mi se par inferioare). Va multumesc pentru seriozitate, am primit exact ceea ce am comandat, livrarea a fost rapida si coletul a ajuns in stare foarte buna. Eu cred ca aici am gasit cel mai bun raport pret/calitate si cu siguranta voi mai cumpara vin de la Premium Drinks. Recomand!

    Mereu am avut curiozitatea sa descopar tipicitatea si caracteristicile vinului portughez. Am descoperit in acest site multe informatii importante si mi-a deschis apetitul spre degustare. Meandro este un vin tipic din regiunea Douro, expresiv, intens cu arome placute de fructe de padure si prune uscate. Superb si la un pret onest! Comanda am primit-o repede si in siguranta. Felicitari! Merita sa-l incercati si voi.

    One of the best reds! The balanced combination of Touriga Nacional, Cabernet and Merlot creates a bit of magic in this wine. This for me is the best way to end a dinner with friends. Pleasant nose, not too intense, acidity is just right, awesome taste and aftertaste. Outstanding work, hat’s off for the winemaker for this one.

    Bring on the summer! This light fresh wine is a good choice for the summer evenings. Even better and even easier going than this one would be the Anselmo Mendes - Loureiro 2016 - DOC Vinho Verde, which is my favourite white wine.

    Acum ceva ani Adrian importa Torre de Menagem - un vinho verde superb, frizzante (cu un rest carbonic) si o aciditate nemaipomenit de placuta pe un corp usor - trebuie sa adaug la un pret imbatabil. Cred ca am comandat cel putin 5 sau 6 cartoane daca nu mai multe. Ulterior am devenit un mare fan al "vinurilor verzi". Vinuri de zi cu zi, fresh, perfecte intr-o dupa-amiaza sau seara de vara. Vinurile lui Anselmo Mendes sau Mr. Alvarinho sunt de ceva vreme in portofoliu. Un alt nivel, mai elaborat, mai fin. Serviti cu incredere pentru ca noi nu avem vinuri similare.

    Daca cunaosteti ce inseamna un ulei de masline extra virgin de calitate, acesta este un ulei cu calitati deosebite. Are o origine controlata iar detaliile tehnice de inalta calitate sunt specificate pentru fiecare produs. Preturile sunt foarte bune avand in vedere ca in general in comert cumparam ulei de origine necunoscuta si calitate indoielnica la preturi de ulei extra virgin...Daca doresti sa beneficiezi intradevar de proprietatile uleiului de masline cumpara unul autentic.
